Avascular Necrosis of Femur Head- Avascular Necrosis (AVN) of the femoral head is a pathological process that results from interruption of blood supply of the bone. AVN of the hip is poorly understood, but this process is the final common pathway of traumatic and non traumatic.

Femoral head ischemia results in the death of narrow & osteocytes certain risk factors like high doses of corticosteroids and alcohol intake.
